Re: H.265 on tvOS 11.0

Had another friend test the same file on a MiBox and it played back without an issue. what is the bitrate of the HEVC files you're trying to play on the ATV4? near 20mbit/s it seems to stutter in my experience. if bitrate is low, perhaps it is due to some of the more expert settings in HEVC encodin...

Re: Testing MrMC 3.3.1

For AVFoundation, we have no control over color range. That's handled completely by tvOS. For VideoToolBox, we have some control as the picture frames are rendered by GLES, which we control. Then there is ffmpeg, this 'should' be the reference. I'm assuming we are talking about h264, decoded by Vid...

Re: Testing MrMC 3.3.1

Is everybody using AVFoundation in MrMC? I see the latest build fixes VTB levels but why are people using VTB if they want proper functionality of their ATV4k with HDR? Anyway, using AVF levels are correct for me with an ATV4, ycbcr output. 16 and lower are black, and for whites I can distinguish le...

if you drop the video into your itunes app under osx, then turn on 'home sharing', then it shows up on the appletv in the 'computers' app
OK, that's what I was wondering....how you were testing with the native player. I think I can do that with windows iTunes too.

Re: Testing MrMC 3.3.1

I don't see a levels problem with that very short sample in my 1080p setup with ATV4, ycbcr output, AVF in use in MrMC. So is the levels problem only with the ATV4k's dynamic range switching?

Also, what is meant by "native player" that I see here?

Black levels are off with the most recent. Pretty noticeable in the Orville when space is supposed to be black at the end of the intro (it also fades to black) but it's all grey.
Was that an mpeg2 .ts or transcoded to h264?

Re: How does pausing Live TV for HD Homerun PVR work?

My experience with DVBLink is that it'll pause so long as I'm in the same EPG "show".

I think I've only seen this once and all I remember is that playback suddenly began when time slipped into the next EPG time slot. I don't remember any other details.

i use remote to swipe,i cant use any
app. same swipe method on kodi video will not go back.
It's better to just tap the edges of the remote, not click.

But, you may be able to adjust siri remote settings to get the handling you want.

Re: Testing MrMC 3.3.1

Thanks for the link. I had already downloaded that file, which was a .ts file. I changed suffix to .mkv, but it still does not trigger my LG Oled into Dolby Vision mode. Are you guys sure that file is showing the file as Dolby Vision? ie. Your not just seeing the Dolby Vision logo that is overlayed...
