Re: Testing MrMC 3.3.0

I agree, and I'm even a big proponent of more meta features. Just not trailers. At our house we can spend some time browsing for what movie to watch. What we really like (from Plex) is the Rotten Tomatoes reviews. I'd love to find a way to work those in. I also hope to see actor headshots (which I ...

Biggest missing feature for parents

Anyone with kids wanting to use MrMC (or any other Media Centre) has to deal with the same problem which is that all the children’s movies, series and songs will mix with the other content. And like most parents I have no time to mark all the content that arrives onto my NAS from multiple sources an...

Re: Testing MrMC 3.3.0

No matter how often I scan for new content, I’m not seeing all the movies (mkv) that are there and did show up before. In my recents folder there’s 263 mkv movies (most were there in but it’s showing only 183 of them. (And then there also my older locations..)

Re: Testing MrMC 3.3.0

I had to reinstall MrMC tonight because on start the app kept connecting to a music multi-source that no longer resolves. After trying some different network settings it started to do this about 10 seconds after starting up, no matter what screen I was on, or started at. I could only force quit the ...

Re: Testing MrMC 3.3.0

now since we have got the Info-before-play feature, can we get a pure Wall view with frameless (or very thin frame) Movie icons in Opacity? Even a thinner frame in the current view would be an improvement (bigger icons). Thanks I strongly agree! I have a 40” TV and the tiles are much too small from...

SMB support in MrMC?

I have a Synology/ATV4 setup but NFS never worked well for me. SMB worked fine unless I access folders with a lot of content. Accessing such folders would take 20-30 seconds to list the content. Last week though, I was trying some other settings which really improved loading times (8-10 seconds at t...

Re: testing MrMC 3.0.6

Ah good. Since previous release mrmc for tvOS has been completely unusable for me, for the first time ever! And indeed, I do use SMB (with my synology nas.)

Happy to see it's getting some TLC and that apparently it wasn't just me. :)

Re: Can I Downgrade?

Out of interest and maybe learn something new; what benefit is there in connecting to NAS hosted instances of Kodi or Plex (sooo slooow) when MrMC can connect directly to your Movies/Series/Music folders on your NAS instead? Is there any big benefit besides maybe not for having to wait 5 seconds for...
