exactly :)
I like the current/intended changes because it brings the ATV feeling and is significant to further distinguish MrMC UI from Kodi.
Will that be independent of the skin used?

Emby client is designed to remember the 1st level folder contents. The Plex client pull from scratch. Both cache thing like thumbs.

This is the behavior that we want bring to Plex client as well as server selection.
that until you bring the Emby/Plex-to-MrMC add-on? ;)

Still no update on toggling the Plex server? Caching seems to have gotten better, though.
I have just compared Emby and Plex servers on the same Synology DS918+; the cashing behaviour is very close with a slight edge to Emby.

Re: MrMC, Infuse, Plex & Co.

I have been using the Plex for Kodi add-on (v.0.14a1) with Kodi 17.6 for few days now and must say that I am quite happy with it. Not only is the GUI very nice but also functional. In addition, the add-on allows for direct-play hevc (to be enabled in the settings) and thus makes for the better clien...

Re: Testing MrMC 3.4.1

the Siri Remote on Black Glas Nova is quite "nervous/flink"; it needs surgical accuracy to navigate between menus and sub-menues on the home screen. It is less so with Amber.

There is no repetitive scroll when holding the the lower/upper edge; intentionally or to still to come?

Re: MrMC, Infuse, Plex & Co.

Please forgive me if I step on any toes...I can be blunt at times :) I am not new to the xbmc/kodi forums or the mrmc forums...I simply don't post that much on either..... I avoid Plex like the plague...... Why?? I was one of the first to test out Plex (back in the xbmc days testing a macOS port).....

Re: MrMC, Infuse, Plex & Co.

I just wanted to mention that people on Plex and Emby forums are wanting MrMC if it were not for the GUI.
What I could imagine is a nified GUI for MrMC, Plex and Emby clients, with a unified media DB!
The new Plex Media Player 2.2.1 is a good example.

Re: Future Skin Support

It's indeed important not to end up with 5+ skins. I see 3 or max 5 as a good number that provides choice. MrMC, Nebula and maybe Titan could be a great line-up, but there will always be different tastes, so it may need to be 4 or 5 (but not 8 or 10). If it were up to me, I would take only one MrMC...

Re: MrMC, Infuse, Plex & Co.

An upadte on the topic: I used to install PlexKodiConnect on Kodi to take advantage of Plex library. Today, I installed Plex for Kodi add-on (MrMC doesn't allow it, I know :) and it gives me both Plex library and a clean UI, q.e.d. There has been -business- suggestions in some forums that Plex shou...

Re: Testing MrMC 3.4.1

Managing the Siri Remote is really a great value added to MrMC; almost like a re-birth!
Thanks a lot for that :)
